Cheng-Yen Lee has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Santa Clara on May 8 not long after 9:00 a.m. Mr. Lee, a 28-year-old resident of San Jose, was reportedly stopped at a red light in his Nissan Ultima on Scott Boulevard and Jay Street when the car was struck from behind by a GMC Acadia SUV, pushing the Nissan into the intersection. First responders took Mr. Lee as well as the driver of the SUV and a passenger to an area hospital. Mr. Lee tragically died from his injuries later. Authorities say that a medical emergency suffered by the Acadia driver may have been involved in the wreck, but the incident remains under investigation.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
