Charlene Webb has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred August 5 in Merced County. Reports indicate that Ms. Webb, whose age has not been provided, was running across Highway 99, perhaps after exiting a car she was a passenger in, at approximately 12:30 a.m when she was struck by a Toyota vehicle.  The driver of the Toyota reportedly stopped at the scene and pulled the victim out of traffic, but the victim sadly died before the arrival of first responders.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the deceased during this difficult time.
