Chandra Woods has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a traffic collision that occurred on May 5 in Corona. Ms. Woods, a 37-year-old Victorville resident, was driving in a Toyota Camry with passenger Marcus Reeves, 27 and also from Victorville on the 91 Freeway at about 2:40 a.m. when the compact car stopped or stalled for reasons that have not been explained. A Hino box truck behind them may not have had time to stop before it collided with the back of the Toyota. Both people in the car were taken for treatment by first responders but Ms. Woods tragically died from her injuries. The tragic mishap is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.
