Cathe Lawson has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a car collision that occurred on June 24 in Chico. Ms. Lawson, a 61-year-old local resident, was driving a Subaru near the crossing of Yosemite Drive and Highway 32 prior to 2:00 p.m. when she entered an intersection after a stop sign. Reportedly a driver had waved her into the intersection. She reportedly collided with a GMC pickup truck driven by Robert Maxam, a 68-year-old Los Angeles resident.  The woman was removed from the car and taken for emergency treatment but died from her injuries. Police do not currently suspect a DUI, but they are investigating the incident and seeking out any witnesses
