Carlos Alfredo Menendez-Perez has been identified by authorities as the victim in a motorcycle collision that occurred on June 16 in Bell. Mr. Menendez-Perez was driving his bike onto the Florence Avenue onramp of the 710 Freeway at about 2:15. p.m. on his 2007 Kawasaki Ninja. He then collided with a Toyota minivan. The motorcyclist was ejected and died from his injuries. The occupants of the minivan were not seriously hurt. The accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s East Los Angeles office. Mr. Menendez-Perez was 27 and a resident of South Gate.
