Carlos Ayala-Guzman, a 17-year-old skateboarder, has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that took place in Lancaster on November 17. Carlos was skateboarding on Avenue K at around 6:45 p.m. and had stopped. As he bent over to pick up the board, a 2012 Subaru Impreza struck the youth. Reports differ about whether he died from his injuries or at the scene of the tragic collision. The driver, who reports say had apparently failed to see the teenager, reportedly passed sobriety tests.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
