Calvin Wayne Green has been identified by authorities as the deceased in a traffic collision that occurred on May 3 in San Jose. Mr. Green, a 70-year-old local resident, was driving a Hyundai Tiburon heading west on Branham Lane prior to 12:15 a.m. Meanwhile, Lawrence Martin, 32, was driving a Nissan Murano on Almaden Expressway. As Mr. Green was driving through the intersection, authorities charge that Mr. Martin ran through a red-light, colliding with the Hyundai and also a Tesla that was stopped nearby. Mr. Green tragically died at the scene. The driver of the Tesla was not hurt while Mr. Martin received modest injuries. He has since been charged with vehicular manslaughter and DUI.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
