Bob Stockton has been identified by authorities as the victim in a pedestrian collision that occurred on May 13 in Riverside. Mr. Stockton, 64, was jogging on Victoria Avenue with his wife at roughly 11:00 a.m when a Dodge Van driven by a 64-year-old woman apparently hit him from behind. Mr. Stockton was an area notable, a board member of the Western Municipal Water District — an elected position — and was also a former planning commission and a member of Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce. Police did not charge the driver of the van and say they do not suspect a DUI in the case.

We extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
