Aurelio Garcia Sr has been identified by authorities as the victim in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian collision that occurred on October 11 Fresno. Mr. Garcia, a 70-year-old local resident was crossing Mount Vernon Avenue near Monterey Street. He was struck by a car allegedly driven by Joshua Reyes shortly after 4:10 a.m. Police further allege that Mr. Reyes left the man on the road where he was found by first responders but the man tragically died. Reports indicate that Mr. Reyes turned himself into authorities a few hours after the incident. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and seeking out witnesses.
