Alexander Hupfeld has been identified as the victim of a Ventura County crash that occurred on September 20 shortly before 11:00 p.m. His 2009 Ford Mustang was on Highway 126 between the towns of Santa Paula and Moorpark. The car reportedly went off the road and hit a tree. Mr. Hupfeld, 25, perished at the scene of the collision. He was 25 and had been a captain of the football team at Manheim Township High School in Pennsylvania; a pregame moment of his silence was held in his honor the week after his death. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
