Claremont, California – 69 year-old Daniel Castillo of Fontana was killed January 22 when a wrong-way driver who was fleeing police in a stolen pick-up truck drove at high speed on the 210 Freeway in Claremont. The driver of the wrong way vehicle, identified as Nicole Thibault of Santa Clarita, allegedly caused a head on collision with Mr. Castillo’s cars, which caused further collisions involving seven vehicles. Three others were injured. At the time, Ms. Thibault was allegedly fleeing police after stealing a pick-up truck containing a 4 year-old boy, who was dropped off by the driver before the incident and who was found unharmed.
